RP40 Raman Probe

The fibre-coupled RP40 Raman probe is designed to operate with the HES2000 spatial heterodyne spectrometer.

Operating at a 15mm standoff distance from the enclosure aperture, these probes facilitate non-destruction interrogation of target samples to capture material-specific Raman spectra.

The specifications given are for the standard RP40. Please get in touch for customisation options, including alternative Raman excitation operating wavelengths.

Probe performance comparison between 785nm F1(telescopic) and Box probe

The new F1 probe currently requires a 0.5s exposure to get a Paracetamol spectrum compared to the previous box probe requiring a 2.5s exposure to get the same performance level. The F1 probe is 4x better than the box probe. Note: With the box probe, overexposure is seen at 2.5s, so it can only be exposed up to 1.9s (less performance).

RP40 probe performance

Paracetamol at 2.5s
Raman Shift cm^-1

RP50 probe performance

Paracetamol at 0.5s
F1 probe at 0.5s
For reference: Both probes at 0.5s exposure. Box probe has a peak height of 2.5E+2
